Animal Care & Adoption Center

Help save a life by adopting a friend today! Dogs and cats available for adoption at the center can be seen on Petfinder.com, Adoptapet.com, our Facebook page, our Instagram page, and the Friends of Animal Care and Control Facebook page.

The adoption fee is $80 for all dogs, $60 for cats, and $25 for animals (cats or dogs) previously spayed or neutered. All animals adopted from the Animal Care and Adoption Center are spayed or neutered before leaving for their new home. Adoption fees cover this cost. All cats and dogs must be properly vaccinated for rabies. A lifetime dog tag must be obtained, starting at four months old.

The center does not sell animals for medical research.

Upcoming Events

Kitten season is a team sport!

Our Kitten Supply Drive takes place through June. The Opening Drive is May 31, from 11am-3pm, at the Animal Care and Adoption Center (located at 480 Cinnabar Rd., Christiansburg, VA). Help us get in gear by bringing supplies for kittens. Enjoy time at our “tail” gate with yard games, a food truck, sno-cones, assists from members of the Virginia Tech Football Team, and more!
