Payments are made to satisfy court costs and fines if ordered by the judge. Some juvenile traffic tickets are pre-payable, which means a juvenile may pay a traffic ticket in lieu of coming to court but only if the police officer that writes the ticket informs the juvenile that such a citation is pre-payable according the Code of Virginia.
The following are acceptable methods of payment:
- Cash
- Personal check
- Money order
- Cashier's check
- VISA/Mastercard
Payments may be made in the Clerk's Office or by mail.
