On November 3rd, 2020, the Circuit Court and the Circuit Court Clerk's Office is closed by Federal and State holiday. In the event that a citizen needs the assistance of the Court or the Clerk in relation to election day issues, please call (540) 315-7190 and/or the local Registrar.

Clerk of Circuit Court service modifications due to COVID-19 (coronavirus):

Pursuant to Governor Northam's Executive Order No. 63, all persons entering the Courthouse will be required to have a face covering beginning Friday, May 29, 2020, and continuing until further Order.

The Clerk of Circuit Court serves as the general record keeper for the county, and records land transfers, deed, mortgages, wills, adoptions, divorces, military records and election results. Marriage licenses, and applications for passports, name changes, notaries and concealed weapons may be obtained here. The office also collects fines and keeps court judgment document books.

The Clerk of Circuit Court's office is located in the Montgomery County Courthouse at 55 East Main St., Suite 1, Christiansburg, VA.
