Pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2204 & 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held on September 25, 2023 at 7:15 p.m. in the County Government Center, 755 Roanoke St., Christiansburg, Virginia, in order to hear citizen comments regarding the Board of Supervisors’ intention to act on the following Special Use Permit request:
A request by Darrell Linkous for a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow a Manufactured Home on a vacant lot located within the R-3 Residential Zoning District. The property is located at 425 Briggs Road (St. Rt. 1045) near the intersection of Briggs Road and Jacob Drive, Shawsville; off of Kirk Hollow Road (St. Rt. 690). The property is further identified as Tax Maps 083-A 4 22 (Parcel ID: 031288), 1.29 acres, zoned Residential (R-3) in the Shawsville Magisterial District. The property currently lies in an area designated as Village Expansion in the 2025 Comprehensive Plan and is further designated as Medium Density Residential in the Shawsville Village Plan.
