MAY 12, 2025 – SPECIAL USE PERMIT – SHAH DEVELOPMENT, LLC


Pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2204 & 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held on May 12, 2025 at 7:15 p.m. in the County Government Center, 755 Roanoke St., Christiansburg, Virginia, in order to hear citizen comments regarding the Board of Supervisor’s intention to act on the following Special Use Permit request:

A request by Shah Development LLC for a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow a Contractor’s storage yard. It is proposed that an existing structure on the site will be used for storage as will on-site outdoor storage. The site is located at the western terminus of Flanagan Drive, Christiansburg (F060), and is located approximately 1.2 miles west of Riner Road (St. Rt. 8). The property is further identified as Tax Map 106- A 7C1 (Parcel ID: 290036), 18.784 acres, zoned Agricultural (A-1) in the Riner Magisterial District.  The property currently lies in an area designated as Resource Stewardship in the 2025 Comprehensive Plan.

Copies of the proposed plans, applications, ordinances or amendments may be examined at the Department of Planning and GIS Services, County Government Center, 755 Roanoke St., Suite 2A, Christiansburg, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or at http://www.montgomerycountyva.gov/pendingapplications.
