A new park in Riner, named Teel Park, is the latest addition to the Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department’s inventory of facilities. Located on Route 8 at the northern edge of the Riner Village, the park is approximately 35 acres with a variety of features including:
- four baseball, softball, and multi-purpose fields with lighting
- a picnic shelter
- a playground
- restrooms
- over 300 parking spaces
- and walking trails.
Substantial construction is expected to be done by late spring 2025 so citizens can enjoy the walking trials, playgrounds and picnic shelters. Construction of the ball fields is expected to be complete by late summer 2025. The estimated cost to complete this project is $13 million.
